HTC EVO 4G LTE

I bought this dock for my HTC EVO 4G LTE (Sprint's version of the HTC One X). This item came in a retail package and is identical to the one that is sold through Sprint.

I have this mounted in my car down on the center console to an adhesive dashboard disc that I used for an older GPS unit. The suction mount is very strong, as it has a lock down level and wide surface area. After a month, it has not popped off after sitting in extreme heat.

The phone slides into the dock very easily without a case, I haven't tested it with a case. If placing the phone in landscape, HTC sense will flip to landscape or will launch car dock mode (according to your settings), even when dock is unplugged. Removing the phone is even easier, just lift the latch and it slides right out, no sticking. I don't think the phone would stay in very well without closing the top latch.

I am using anTechnocel MV9MCDUO-SP OEM Sprint Dual USB Port Car Charger - Black with a rated output of 900mA, and it works just fine. The phone will still charging with all radios turned on.

The dock can be easily rotated to portrait, however HTC car dock does not rotate the screen, but it will if you are on the Sense homescreen. You can even mount your phone up-side-down, and sense will rotate properly.

-Bulky, not as sleek as the HTC version

Overall, this is a solid dock that performs as it should. It is a bit bulky but feels very sturdy and should be able to handle the heat over time. I've used cheaper car docks with other phone, but have one with built in charging port and lets the phone know that it entering car mode are worth the price.

Great product but you can buy it directly from sprint for less!

The dock is awesome but I got my phone before it arrived and I ended up buying at Sprint for less. This was a surprise to me seeing as how I usually get better deals from Amazon. I understand that the i Bolt is the same as the original HTC dock from Sprint which is a great way to mount your phone and also keeps the charging cable from moving around. I have a case on the phone and it still fits in the holder with ease.
I tried returning the i Bolt I bought from Amazon and made the mistake of not tracking it. The Post Office said I did not need to track it because it was a Return to Sender. It has been two weeks and Hard2Find Accessories says they have not received it and now I have no dock and no credit for my purchase.

Great product!

I bought this for my Sprint EVO 4g LTE. I also have the otterbox commuter case on my phone so I was looking for a car cradle that would work WITH the case in. This fits PERFECTLY..I love it!
