Solid Box
By Kevin
Shipped perfect, but doesn't come with screws or speaker wire. Solid box, constructed well.
Hooked up my 10" Alpine 1043D Type R. Sounds good.
FYI, this box is tuned to 37 Hz.

Thick and heavy
By B. Jones
I'm really liking this box. In the past I have only had twin 10s or 12s in a sealed box, but for a single sub system I decided ported was the way to go. I didn't want a box tuned for loudness, as I am more interested in sound quality. Another reviewer said that this box is tuned to 37hz, which is still a bit higher than I'd like. Now, I know a lot of folks disagree with the view of polyfill in a ported box, but that is what I did. I also purchased the Infinity 1062w sub from Amazon and this box is a bit too small according to the ported space requirements. The polyfill lowers the overall loudness but you gain a lot of sound quality. It smooths out the boomy-ness and provides tonal balance, and it lowers the tuning to more desirable levels. I'd estimate it to be 33-35hz on the ear-o-meter. I used rubber cement and gently spread it on all walls of the interior, stopping at the port entrance. I also bought the Boss R1100M from Amazon and hooked the DVC sub parallel at 2 ohms. This was not an expensive set up by any means but the quality is amazing compared to the more expensive systems of yore that I used to be into in the 90s and 00s. Now I'm in my 30s but can't quite let it go, and this box is small enough to not be burdensome as I can remove it when I need to, but big enough to fill the need.

1st system build and...
By Wootstapler
This is the first time attempting to build a system. I did plenty of research of the parts needed to complete the build and I settled on this box. It was pretty much the only box that fit my guidelines (wanted a 10inch ported, but had to fit into my hatchback Mitsu 3000GT). This was the smallest ported box I could find.
As far as build quality goes this thing is SOLID. It's definitely heavy, and doesn't feel flimsy at all. The front baffle is 1in thick like advertised, and goes well when mounting the sub to the box. That extra 1/4in will help with the seal.
I can't really say to much else about the box other than I paired it with an Alpine Type-R 10in (5th gen, the 2012 model). Apparently Alpine and Atrend paired up to make a box suited for the Type R and this box does meet the RECOMMENDED (not required) air space volume for the Type R. And I can say that it hits loud, and clean. The kick drum has lots of weight to it as in the kick travels, and doesn't just "kick".
Only reason why I gave it 4 out of 5 is because the speaker baffle terminals on the side are kinda weak. They could be more secure when gripping the speaker wire, but just shove it in there and squeeze down on the clip a bit and you should be good to go.
Would definitely buy another Atrend Box.
