For the price works well.

I used this as an extension speaker on a Bearcat scanner that is mounted inside a metal police console between the seats. Since the sound can't escape the metal console I mounted this speaker on the end and the scanner sound comes out loud and clear. The sound isn't as rich as the built in Uniden speaker, but it is clear and I'm happy with it. The speaker does not take much room, has a mounting bracket, and looks nice.

Excellent for voice

Heavy guage nicely contoured 2 3/4" plastic case, 2 1/2" speaker--clear/no distortion-resonance good. Speaker size causes treble frequency sounds/not tinny/ An external speaker, being directional, is usually improvement over built-in speaker. Quality sound for size...well priced. Only larger speaker could add bass lower sounds, which might affect voice clarity. If I still used a CB communications in my car, I'd get this--especially if space was limited. Have high quality cobra radio speaker on my base, but this one would really work and sound clear instead. Quite clear for voice frequency range....probably not a choice for music to cover other frequency limits. Using roadpro with my base radio scanner...easy to understand with no distortion.

Good Performance for the Money

This speaker gets the job done for the price. I dinged it one star because I had to take it apart because some hot melt glue came loose inside and was rattling around.
