very easy to use

This harness is very easy to use. instructions are clear and i retained the stock amp for my oem speakers with my new Alpine single din deck. The harness has a blue pit that you can turn with a phillips head screw driver to adjust to volume level of output. great harness, made it easier than bypassing the whole oem amp

Does exactly what it claims to do.

I used it to hook up a new stereo with pre-outs to my 2004 Lexus ES330 and it worked perfectly the first time. It's a little bit bulky but, then again, whenever I'm installing a stereo, it always seems like there are too many wires to fit in the space and one way or another I get them to fit.

Works great for JBL amplified system

I have an 05 Toyota Sequoia with the JBL system. I wanted to keep my factory system that has an amp but put in an aftermarket head unit. This worked great. A wire pulled out of one of the harnesses but Amazon sent me a replacement the next day. Works great and very easy install.
There are only 4 RCA plugs to plug into the back of your aftermarket head unit and then you just connect the power, ground, amp (accessory), and constant power. The harness plug from this harness plugs directly into your factory harness. This makes putting in an aftermarket radio easy.
Also, keep in mind that there is a 'volume' knob on this harness interface. I turned mine up about 90% and the volume is great and I can't imagine needing any more. Some reviewers complained of a lower volume, and this could be the reason...they might need to adjust it. You just adjust it with a phillips head screw driver.
Also, some complained that they had lower quality. My system sounds MUCH MUCH better than the factory head unit. The bass sounds better and overall sound is better. I actually decided against putting my JL Audio components in b/c the factory JBL system sounds great.
This should work on your Sequoias, 4Runners and other Toyota cars with JBL systems. I think it will also work with Lexus.
The following does NOT involve the harness above, just a side note: Note for Sequoia owners: If you have the 'blown' or 'farting' front speakers in your JBL system it is an easy fix....all you need is some tacky glue, pull the speakers out and glue around the surrounds....I did it to both of mine and they sound brand new. There are also kits you can buy so you don't have to replace the front speakers. That is a known problem with the Sequoia front speakers and again this is NOT A RESULT OF THE METRA HARNESS.
